Instead he has chosen to grown a loyal fan base worldwide cleverly mounting soul jazz hip-hop beats mixed with true poems about life in Brazil, Love, and the hard ideology of been a talented rapper in the southern hemisphere, with melodies that, even if you can't understand Portuguese you will "get it"!
Slim Rimografia has so many nice songs that people from as far as Russia and the USA keep this MySpace constantly clocking 150/200 plays a day, while his YouTube page has seem fans from across the globe present him with their video interpretations of his music hitting over 100K views in the last 6 months for 1 video alone (“Por Você”).
His melodies and beats are inspired in different styles of Brazilian music ranging from Samba, Folk, Bossa Nova and in Jazz, Swing and other innovative Hip Hop sounds from across the globe. Now working with Clutchy Hopkins (Ubiquity Records USA) on a new album released in 2009.
Slim iniciou-se no cenário da cultura HIP HOP em 1996 atuando como grafiteiro e marcando sua passagem também em outro dos elementos desta cultura, o break dance. Até que em 2000 encontrou na música, o Rap, a forma artística ideal para sua expressão.Passou a se dedicar exaustivamente a pesquisar Música Brasileira, buscando também conhecer profundamente todos os meios disponíveis para a sua produção em estúdio. Slim é responsável por todas as etapas da realização de suas músicas. É poeta, escreve as letras e rimas, pesquisa sonoridades, produz seus “beats”, gravando e mixando todo o material, ele mesmo, em seu Home Studio.
